Google is Updating Over 50 Android Apps to Better Support Tablet and Large Screen UI

Now that Google has released its first foldable and the Pixel Tablet, it is safe to say that in the coming months, the company will be advertising these devices aggressively and for all the right reasons. Even though the Pixel Fold and the Pixel Tablet might be two more devices in the market, it is safe to say that Google is banking on them to make them even more relevant. The company has decided to update over fifty first-party apps with a new UI that supports tablets and UI.
Google finally realizes that people have foldable phones and tablets and decides to update all of its apps to offer bet ter UI on larger screens
Of course, one could argue that the only reason why Google has updated these apps is that Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet are now official, but honestly, this is good for all Android users who are on a large-screen device. So, if you are using one of the tablets and foldable phones from a company other than Google, you can go ahead and benefit from this UI refresh.
As for those wondering about the apps that have seen the update, you can look at the entire list below.

Digital Wellbeing

Now, it is worth noting that although the update is rolling out slowly to all the Google apps, it is important to keep in mind that you might not be getting it right away. Google, much like other developers, you are going to have to wait before the apps with the newer UI are actually available for you. However, it certainly is a step in the right direction.
You should expect other developers to follow suit and release updates that would introduce better UI for larger displays. Make sure that you are looking forward to the update on your phone. Keep checking the Google Play Store, and you will get the update when they start rolling out globally.
