iPhone 15 models will support 15W fast wireless charging speeds using third-party uncertified MagSafe chargers
The news was shared by " yeux1122 " on the Korean blog Naver, suggesting that all iPhone 15 models will be able to take advantage of faster 15W wireless charging speeds using uncertified MagSafe chargers. With Apple's certification, the price of wireless chargers tends to go higher and it makes sense to use third-party options. However, it is only a rumor at this stage and no concrete details are available on the upcoming changes.
It was previously announced by Wireless Power Consortium or WPC that Qi2 wireless charging standard will be available during the holiday season this year. The new standard will make use of a magnetic profile similar to Apple's MagSafe for higher wireless charging speeds. Currently, MagSafe is available on all iPhone 12 and newer models. What this means is that Apple could open doors for older iPhone models to take advantage of the new standard as well. However, these are mere speculations at his stage as the final word rests with Apple.

The new wireless charging will not be limited to the iPhone 15 series as the iPad Pro and other devices that adopt the technology will be able to benefit from it as well. We have previously covered that Apple is working to bring wireless charging to the iPad and it could see a good start with the Qi2 standard. While it is more than a welcome addition, Apple could offer USB-C on the iPhone 15 models as well. With the new port, Apple will open doors to faster charging speeds.
This is all there is to it, folks. Apple will host its WWDC 2023 event on June 5 and we will be covering it in extensive detail. Henceforth, be sure to stick around, Also, let us know your thoughts in the comments.
