OpenAI is getting all the hype for its new ChatGPT app on the iPhone, While the software is yet to arrive on Android, the company is making enormous strides when it comes to app installs in the United States. The app was released on the iOS App Store only in the United States earlier this month and it has become one of the fastest-growing apps on the platform. Well, OpenAI saw fit to expand the app to additional regions today which will further increase its user base across the globe. OpenAI's ChatGPT is now available in additional regions as it accumulated almost half a million downloads in less than a week in the U.S.
Before the app was officially available on the iPhone, users either had to go to the company's official website on their phone or use a computer. On the iPhone, users could make a bookmarked icon on the Home Screen for the website which would allow them to access the AI language model with ease. However, the process takes a long time and we are glad OpenAI finally released an official app for the iPhone. ChatGPT is off to a great start, We have previously covered how the app accumulated almost half a million downloads in less than a week after its availability. Furthermore, the app also beats Microsoft's Bing and Edge apps that come with GPT-4 integration. However, these numbers are still missing contributions from Android users across the United States, Now that the app is available in additional regions, the install base would skyrocket significantly.
