iPhone 15 Pro Max Camera And Display Will Not See Any Upgrades Compared To Last Year’s iPhone 14 Pro Max

Apple is said to bring more exclusive upgrades to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but that does not mean it intends to switch every component in the upcoming flagship for more capable hardware. According to one rumor, the top-tier iPhone landing later this year is said to retain the same display and camera as its direct predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Tipster does mention that the SoC and RAM count to see a notable bump, with the A17 Bionic being one of the exclusive features
Starting with the camera, Revegnus has posted on Twitter that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will ship with the same primary sensor as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. An earlier rumor was doing the rounds, stating that the Sony Exmor IMX903 will be used  for the 6.7-inch flagship, but it turns out that this upgrade will be reserved for the iPhone 16 Pro Max  for 2024. Instead, for the 48MP main camera, Apple is rumored to stick with the IMX803.
Some might see this as a way to cut corners and bring down the components cost of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but adding a different camera is only half the story, as the rest of the image quality depends on the software. It is possible Apple improves the software while retaining the same hardware, which is not a flawed approach since it prevents the company from having to source brand new and pricey components every year that will only be used for a single generation of iPhones.
