Apple has released the second developer beta of its upcoming iOS 16.6, iPadOS 16.6, macOS Ventura 13.5, watchOS 9.6, and tvOS 16.6 with bug fixes and improvements that were not addressed in the initial build. The latest beta builds arrive a week after the first initial build was seeded to developers. iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 beta 2 can be downloaded on compatible iPhone and iPad models through the stock Settings app on the iPhone, Simply head over to General > Software Update and then tap on the "Beta Updates" option. Toggle on iOS 16 developer beta and this is all that you have to do. The latest update will feature the iMessage Contact Key Verification framework, bug fixes, and performance enhancements.
Apart from iOS 16.6, Apple has also seeded macOS 13.5 beta 2 to developers. Developers can install the latest build on their compatible Macs by installing a proper configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center . Once the profile is installed, the latest beta update will be available in the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. Currently, it is unclear what the latest beta will have to offer in terms of additional features.
Apple has also released beta 2 of watchOS 9.6 alongside iOS 16.6 which can be installed using a configuration profile from the Developer Center. Once the profile is installed, the beta update will be available to download through the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Simply head over to General > Software Update and follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure that the Apple Watch follows the required prerequisites to install software updates on the Apple Watch.



Lastly, Apple has released beta 2 of tvOS 16.6 to developers as well. While tvOS updates have always been minor in terms of new features, you can still check it out if it includes hints and references for upcoming products. tvOS 16.6 beta 2 can be downloaded through a profile that you can install through Xcode.
Apple is also gearing up to announce iOS 17 next week at its WWDC event. This is all there is to it, folks. We will share more details on the subject as soon as further information is available.
