Samsung Opens Up the One UI 5 Watch Beta After a Short Delay, Now Rolling Out in Select Regions

Last month, Samsung announced that there would be a delay in the One UI 5 Watch beta update. Thankfully, the wait was not all that long as the company has started pushing the update, so if you own a supported Galaxy Watch, you can now go ahead and update your watch without any issues with the latest software. However, considering that it is still in the beta stage, you can expect some bugs, so keep that in mind.

Now, for those wondering, the One UI 5 Watch beta was spotted by various users on Samsung's community forms. You can head over to the Samsung Members app to see if the beta program is available in your region or not. The update is currently only limited to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4 series, so this is important to keep in mind.
Of course, the One UI 5 Watch beta is not available in all regions. I have heard that the program is currently live in the U.S. and in South Korea. However, if you are waiting for the update to land in your region, you should not have to wait long, as Samsung will eventually start pushing the update in other regions, too.

As for what's new, you can have a look at the changelog, and this will give you an idea that the One UI Watch 5 actually brings a lot of new changes that will make your smartwatch experience even better. Of course, considering how this is still a beta release, you can expect Samsung to add or remove features as we head closer to the stable release.

In addition to that, Samsung already shared some information with us about a bunch of features coming to the One UI Watch 5. If you are looking forward to the update, we have to tell you that the stable date is still not out in the open. However, considering how the Galaxy Watch 6 series is launching next month, we can expect Samsung to push the update, as well. But then again, take that with a grain of salt.
The launch of the One UI 5 Watch could hint that the company is also working on launching the One UI 6.0 for the supported Galaxy smartphones, and if that does happen, we will be sure to let you know about all the updates we receive. Until then, stay tuned.
