YouTuber Shows Just How Good Apple’s Customer Service Is Compared To Samsung As Apple Took Just 5 Days To Repair And Return The Device Whereas Samsung Took Almost A Month

Experiencing damage to your phone is never really a good thing. Especially if that is the only device you own because, in such a case, you would have to send the device away for repairs. When it comes to official repairs, they are expensive and, sometimes, end up taking a lot of time before you can even get your device back in your hands. Well, YouTuber Mrwhostheboss decided to explore just that when he took his iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra, purposely punctured the screen on both, and decided to contact the respective companies trying to see how much the repair would cost, and what the lead time would be. The results might surprise you.
Apple does charge a hefty £474 for screen repair but offers much better customer service and a shorter lead time when compared to Samsung
So, who won? Well, the short answer is that Apple won because they managed to receive and return the device in five days, whereas Samsung took 29 days, and even then, they actually sent the phone back without even repairing it, forcing the YouTuber to repeat the process all over again. You can have a look at the complete video below. It is an interesting one, to say the least.

Another thing to note here is that Apple charged a hefty £474 in advance, and this was an estimated cost. Meaning if the technicians believed that the repair was going to cost more, you would have had to pay more. Samsung, on the other hand, charged £223.99, more than half of what Apple charged, but here is the interesting part. Samsung, in the first attempt, sent the device back without even repairing it, and the YouTuber had to go ahead and send the device all over again. Only adding more to the total lead time. On the second attempt, it did take Samsung just 6 days to receive, repair, and return the device, but if you look at the actual time, then that's 29 days in total.
Now, although this should not be an issue but the fact that Samsung actually messed up a number of times definitely means that the company needs better customer service. This is not to say that Apple cannot make a mistake, as this is very much a human error, but considering how people don't always have a secondary device in hand, this can be a scary situation when faced in real. Now, both companies have their self-repair service available, but again, preparing modern devices is not as easy as simply taking the back off and installing a new battery. In most cases, it requires extensive knowledge of how things work.
Although I have never really encountered a situation where I had to send my phone back to Samsung, but watching this is a cause for concern, and I really hope that I never have to experience something like this. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
