Google is now allowing users to test out the new Generative AI, but it is not for everyone
As mentioned earlier, Google is inviting testers to check out the new generative AI search. Take note that not everyone is eligible to gain access to the Search Labs as Google is allowing those who have signed up to be a part of the program. If you wish to be a part of the experience, you have to join through the Google Labs program. Once done, you will be put on a waitlist. Google initially announced the AI Search Experience at its I/O event earlier this month alongside the new Pixel 7a and the Pixel Fold .
According to the search engine giant, the new AI Search will allow individuals to better discover new topics and get varying perspectives while saving time. Additionally, with AI, the search would become easy and would require less effort compared to what we are currently used to. If you are unfamiliar with how the process works, Google Search AI would break searches down into smaller segments and provide information and results accordingly. You will have access to the background of a specific query and recommendations while shopping online.

OpenAI , backed by Microsoft, is working to offer a wide range of utilities for users. The company will soon launch visual and audio tools as well that will allow individuals to create with ease. Apple is also looking to expand into the AI category which will be evident in future Siri updates. However, generative AI, specifically for search, is relatively new and it remains to be seen how the market will respond to the integration.
Through Google's testing of generative AI for search, the company will be able to filter out bugs, errors, or any prevalent issues in its product. The company will launch a new search soon to the public. This is all there is to it, folks. Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
