Apple's AR Headset to come with dual 4K displays with 4000 PPI and much more
The displays specification of Apple's AR Headset were shared by the prominent display analyst Ross Young who appears to have a very credible track record when it comes to Apple products. The leaker has shared some intrinsic details on the two screens inside the headset. Some of the information shared by the analyst has already been reported but altogether the details will give us an insight into what to look forward to next week.
Younge states that Apple's AR Headset will feature a microLED screen which will offer enhanced color accuracy while being less power-hungry. Since the headset will be battery-powered, it makes sense to use components that consume less power. Additionally, the analyst states that the headset will boast twin 1.41-inch diagonal displays, one for each eye. Additionally, each display will be 4K, offering an enhanced resolution with a pixel density of 4000. The leaker suggests that the headset will come with a 4000:1 contrast ratio with a target brightness of 5000 nits.

Apple's forthcoming AR Headset will jumpstart the market and companies like Oculus and Meta will benefit from the competition. We have previously covered how the headset will offer state-of-the-art technology with almost a dozen cameras and an M-series chip to power the augmented reality functionality. However, the headset will be oriented for developers, content creators, and professionals in the beginning and the company is not looking to sell millions of units similar to the iPhone.
One of the reasons why demand for Apple's AR Headset will be low is its whopping $3,000 price tag. However, Apple is working on a budget variant of the headset that will be oriented toward the mass market. Take note that these are mere leaks and speculations at the moment and the final word rests with Apple. The company could surprise us next week with new features and upgrades.
